Well...time for an update again, it's been a while!

Lots has happened since Feb! I was voted in as Mu Phi president a couple of weeks ago. It's going to be a big job, but I can handle it! Thanks to all of my girls that supported me so much through it, I couldn't have made it through without you ladies!

I got a new student and and getting paid a nice amount for it! He's really challenging, but good for me nonetheless.

I got accepted to the Hot Springs Festival last week! I've been waiting since Feb for the news (I'm very excited b/c it's free.)

I conducted the symphonic band for my inst conducting class last week. It was my second time to conduct an ensemble. I got so into it that I forgot to use the score! Oh well, it went really well, even by memory and it was a lot of fun!

I've had a birthday since Feb! Big 20! I had a party at Ninfa's with a great turnout, thanks you all for helping me celebrate!

We gave Sharon a surprise wedding shower this past weekend. We had been planning it since March and it worked out perfect. Meredith did a wonderful job with the decorations, and Jess and I had a blast at Wal-Mart getting the food.

Today we had a masterclass with the 3rd horn from Boston Symphony, Daniel Katzen. It was the best masterclass that I have ever been to! I loved his teaching and want to take another lesson with him. I played so well for him and had so much fun! Maybe grad school...

Congrats Josh on finishing up all of your finals! I'm so proud of you smart boy!

For my bday Josh bought me tickets to see the play/comedy Red, White, and Tuna. It was hilarious! It's about a small town in Texas, Tuna, and pokes fun at small town Texas.

I can't wait to go home and see my little sister! I miss her and can't wait to spend some of the summer with her and my family.

My brother and sister-in-law are going to have a baby! He's taking such great care of her, I'm so proud.

Overall I have had a really good spring semester and I want to thank everyone for being so friendly and such great people to be with.

I am not stressed about finals, I feel pretty prepared about my juries/finals. I hope so much that I make the Dean's list, I've tried so had this semester!

My phone is broken, but I'll get a new one when I get home. It's been almost a month!

Good Luck (in no special order) Sharon, Meredith, Chelsea, and Carolyn! You are special to me and I will miss you ladies! Thanks for be-friending a little freshman last year and being such great role models! I love you all!

Formal was last weekend and it turned out amazing! Meredith worked soo hard on it and it definitely paid off. The event was awesome and Josh and I might even have found "our song."

Happy early birthday Michael! good luck on finals too!

Thanks for coming to all my performances this year Jenna! I can't wait until next year's apartment! Hang in there Alex! You'll make it!

I get to have my bi-semesterly lunch with Casey tomorrow and I'm super excited!

All right, back to the theory project...

Good Luck on finals all!

Love ya Sweetie!

Hey Everyone!

Ok, so it's been forever, I know. I meant to update at the beginning of the semester, but oh well. It's been crazy since we came back, time really flies spring semester!

The Mu Phi pledgees are about to be finished and we're about to reveal our identies to our littles. I'm so excited, can't wait til Friday night!Officer elections are up soon, gotta decide what I want to do so I'm not stuck with some unexpected duties.

My schoolwork is going well, except that I'm not studying for music history while I'm writing this right now! Karen, Chels and I were so excited today, nothing brightens your morning like an A on a theory test! Musicianship, aka the class from HELL, is going ok too, only one semester left!!!

My horn is in there somewhere, I got accepted to the Masterworks festival today in Indiana, and I'm eagerly awaiting a response from Hot Springs. I did well at brass hour last week, I was proud of my first attempt at performing an entire concerto live.

Josh and my family came to my concert last Monday! It was so great to have so many ppl there to support me. I had some pretty good parts, and several solos this time. I was tired, but I pulled it off ok.

Just waiting til spring break comes over here! I'm ready for a break and ready to see my little sis again. I get to go visit Josh for a while too, and that's really exciting.

Blythe, girl I'm soo happy for you! I can't wait to hear all of your stories soon!  My spring break isn't til after yours, but maybe we can hook up the weekend btn! -love

Michael-hope everything's going well for you too, friend. I'm sure we'll get a chance to talk headed to or from Lview soon!

Good Luck on midterms, Sweetie! See ya soon.

love-ya'll

Hey Hey!

Ok, so I'm avoiding studying by writing an quick entry before I head home tomorrow.

So this year I wised up and decided not to schedule any juries or hearings before noon. There's nothing like finally sleeping-in this semester!

I managed to salvage some grades after a rough semester, but I didn't get all of my honors requirements done. Oh well, I won't be a card-carrying honors program participant for much longer.

I miss all you Longview guys! It's been far too long this semester.

My little french horn student whooped up on the upperclassmen at All-Region. Way-to-go freshman!

I'm going to play in Jenna's intramural 5on5 basketball team next semester. With Josh coaching me over the holidays I think I'll be able to contribute to (at least not hinder) their game. Nevertheless, I'm excited!

Well...that's all folks!

Have a very Merry Christmas! See you all soon.

Well, about time, eh?

So, the semester's almost over (thank goodness) and this is my first real entry.

I finally got into my conducting class today and I'm way excited! It seems like the ONLY thing I can do this semester. I'm nervous though. I'll be the only sophomore amongest juniors and seniors (at least they're nice juniors and seniors).

Exams/juries start soon. Good luck to all; don't forget that you are "playing" your instrument (remember what "playing" meant when we were younger).

Totally blotched my wind ensemble audition. Oh well, I love the horns in Symphonic band, they're awesome!

Feel better soon, Sweetie. The stomach flu totally sucks! Have a safe trip back home; can't wait to be there with you!

Blythe, it's been too long babe! We have got to get together when we get back; so much catching up to do...

Sorry 'bout the length, guys. Thanks for indulging me!
